Food Medical

is organizing this fundraiser.

More than nineteen percent of Latino households live below the poverty line. Millions of families are unable to provide home, education, clear water, food, and medicine to their kids.

Imagine, Latino children are nearly twice as likely to have NO ACCESS to nutritious food than children amid developing countries.

The truth is that most Latinos are paid lower wages and have higher rates of unemployment. Besides, child welfare programs are severely lacking in third world countries, leaving them with no aspirations to become contributing members of society.

Sadly, most poor Latino kids live in crowded, unsanitary areas, increasing the risk of infection and disease.

For example, in Honduras, one study revealed that only 6% of children living in poverty eat three meals a day. That’s why it is not surprising that the leading causes of death among poor Latino kids are:

  • Respiratory infections
  • Skin ailments
  • Physical trauma
  • Dental issues

Even though most of these health issues are treatable, poor kids in Latin America do not have access to medical care.

How Can You Help?

Giving charity regularly to support causes you believe in will have a positive effect on your life. If you are ready to start giving to the Latino community, follow these simple steps:

  1. Find a cause. If you are looking for a cause or an organization, you can start by searching at Caridad Latinos. They work to provide home, education, food, medicine, and clear water to kids in Latino communities.
  2. Stick to one or two organizations the most. If you want to help, it is more efficient to donate to one or two organizations each year rather than 80. By doing this, you are making sure your time and money are going further, plus you are developing a long-term relationship with the cause.
  3. Verify the Organization. One of the main reasons why people do not give money to charities is a lack of trust. So make sure to ask the charity about its successes and how they use the money.

Finally, get involved, do something more than just writing checks. You can get together with friends and make donations together. Be creative, explore powerful ways of making a difference!
